19th cen: Huntington family correspondence

This collection centers on original documents and annotated transcriptions of letters written between members of the Huntington family, especially letters between Elizabeth Huntington and her eleven children.

The Porter-Phelps-Huntington Family Papers as a whole comprise almost a hundred linear feet of materials, stretching from the late seventeenth to the mid-twentieth centuries. The collection is held at the University of Massachusetts Special Collections and University Archives, is documented by a finding aid, and is available for research.
